1. Who is Valentino Rossi?

This phenomenal motorbike racer came to this world on February 16, 1979. He was raised by his parents with his two other siblings in Urbino, Marche, Italy.

When he was born, he was raised by his mother, Stefania Rossi and his father, Graziano Rossi. But when he was younger, His parents got divorced.

Valentino Rossi’s father was Italian former Grand Prix Motorcycle Road Racer. And because of his father, he started riding the bike at a very young age.

As he was just a child, his mother did not allow him to ride a bike. His mother wanted to protect him from injury. So, instead of the bike, he got a racing kart.

When he was five years old, his 60cc motor kart was replaced by the 100cc tough motor kart. Then in 1990, he took this 100 cc kart and won the local kart championship.

Then in 1991, he became more experienced in riding kart. and now he was ready to participate in the national kart championship in parma. But in the national championship, he came in fifth place.

and then, in 1993, his father decided to give his son a racing motorcycle. So, his father reached out to his racing friend Claudio Lusardi, who manages the Cagiva Sports Production team. He gave Rossi a Cagiva Mito 125cc motorcycle.

After that, in 1994, Rossi raced in 125 CC Championship with a bike called Sandroni. This bike was made by Guido Mancini, who was a rider and a mechanic. and, in the past, he worked with Loris Capirossi.

Then In 1995, Rossi won the Italian 125 CC Championship. And In the same year, he won the 125cc European Championship by coming in third place.

3. Valentino Rossi’s legendary Racing Career…

After winning Italian 125 CC Championship, 125cc European Championship in 1995, he decided to participate in the world championship. And then in 1996, he participated in Malaysian Grand Prix. In this championship, he got 9th place.

Two years later, he won the 125cc World Championship of Aprilia and became the youngest rider whoever won the championship.

In 1998, he won the 250cc World championship by coming in second place.

One year later, he won the 250cc World Championship by coming in first place.

After coming first in the 250 cc world championship, he approached Honda to race in the 500cc class. Then he was mentored by one of the 500cc world champion Michael Doohan. after the mentoring Michael, later in that year, Rossi came in second place in the championship.

Then in 2001, Rossi again participated in the 500 cc World Championship. Besides coming to second place like the previous year, he arrived first and won the championship.

In 2004, Rossi paired up with Yamaha. Then he participated in the opening season of the Grand Prix in South Africa. He won this championship and became the first motorcycle rider, who won two premier class championships in a row.

After that opening season, there were 16 other sessions held later that year. and among these 16 seasons, Rossi won 9 of these world championships.

Just like the year 2004, Rossi won 11 races and became world champion once again.

However, in 2006, he came in second place. and his continuous streaks broke.
